Amir Marashi, MD, DDS renames practice and unveils new online resource to serve patients in the Greater Charlotte, NC area
Charlotte, NC (October 2, 2014) – With more and more data revealing that patients retain more information through means of watching videos rather than reading content, the days of medical providers relying on stale, stagnant written instructions must come to an end. Statistics reveal that 80 percent of patients will watch a video, while only 20 percent will read content in its entirety, making it abundantly clear that videos have a much greater impact on patients seeking information about their procedures. Experienced oral and maxillofacial surgeon, Amir Marashi, MD, DDS, who provides a full scope of oral surgery procedures to patients in the Greater Charlotte, NC area, has truly embraced this new reality and has embarked on a revolutionary method of delivering important information to his patients.
Dr. Marashi and his highly skilled staff at Greater Charlotte Oral and Facial Surgery not only renamed their practice to reach a broader demographic of patients, but also designed an innovative online resource that enables patients to take advantage of a new interactive mode of learning. Dr. Marashi is helping patients to better receive critical information via short-format interactive videos explaining everything they need to know about their procedure. From what to do to prepare for surgery to how to best care for the surgical site following the procedure, the videos on https://greatercharlotteoralsurgery.com/ provide detailed, easy-to-follow instructions that help patients achieve the best possible outcome.
“We have invested a great deal of time and energy into creating this new online resource that helps produce the best results for each and every patient,” said Dr. Marashi. “It’s incredibly important to us that patients are well informed, and heal quickly and properly, so we want to provide them with everything they need to know – from the moment they schedule their consultation to the time they are recovering at home.”
In addition to offering a wide range of online resources and information for educational purposes, the new website at https://greatercharlotteoralsurgery.com/ provides visitors with patient testimonial videos, in which past patients describe their experience at Greater Charlotte Oral and Facial Surgery.
“We find that many patients are anxious about their surgery, so we wanted to give them an opportunity to hear from real patients who have undergone the same procedure as them,” said Dr. Marashi. “When patients can relate to patients they see and hear from in the videos, they will feel much more at ease about what they are about to experience and may have unanswered questions addressed right away.”
Dr. Marashi and the Greater Charlotte Oral & Facial Surgery staff provide patients with a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures in two state-of-the-art facilities in North Carolina. The staff brings experience, safety, modern technology, and compassion to every patient experience to ensure a comfortable and easy process. Services offered include wisdom tooth removal, general tooth extraction, bone grafting procedures, dental implant placement, treatment for Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Disorders, corrective jaw surgery, and others.
In addition to focusing on the opportunity to provide the most extensive and detailed information to patients, Dr. Marashi and the Greater Charlotte Oral and Facial Surgery have also completed the rigorous process of becoming accredited by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (AAAASF). This makes Greater Charlotte Oral and Facial Surgery the only oral and maxillofacial surgery practice accredited by AAAASF in both North and South Carolina.
