Meet Our Second Chance Recipient, Tiffany Terrell!
Tiffany Tells Us About Her Dental Health:
I have either lost or had the majority of my teeth extracted. I have two abscesses that I know of, one of which is causing terrible headaches recently. I am missing all but 3 of the teeth on the top and have a broken tooth at both the back and the front of my mouth on the top. I am also missing all but 8 of the teeth on the bottom, and there are some root tips that need extraction in the back of the bottom row.
Tiffany Tells Us Why Restoring Her Smile Is Important to Her:
I miss smiling. I’m working in front of people all the time, and it is kind of uncomfortable to constantly have to cover my mouth. It’s embarrassing. I feel like people are looking at me and judging me because of my teeth. I want to get married, and I want to have a family, but this is hindering that. I have become withdrawn and extremely depressed to the point of medication. I feel like a lesser version of myself, and I really hate that feeling.
Tiffany Tells Us Why She Thinks She Is a Good Candidate for the Second Chance Program:
I haven’t been able to take care of this alone financially, and I know the only way I will be able to do this is with help. I am currently working a temp job, but I know that I’m missing out on opportunities because of my teeth; I can’t very well represent a major company with these teeth. This may be my route that would absolutely change my life right now.
